The Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) serves 10 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts, including Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Freetown, Mattapoisett, New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea,  and Westport.

SMAST

To travel to SMAST in the south end of New Bedford, ride local public transportation (covering New Bedford & Fall River: SRTA: Southeastern Regional Transit Authority. See route maps for exact stops.

In partnership with SRTA, UMass Dartmouth offers students the ability to ride SRTA buses at no cost by simply showing your UMass Pass. SRTA provides access to routes and stops in Fall River, New Bedford, and the surrounding area and the schedules can be viewed in the hyperlinks above.

LAST BUS: The SRTA #9 bus provides transportation from the Main Campus (Campus Center) to the New Bedford Bus terminal. The bus also makes all intermediary stops along its route from UMassD to the New Bedford terminal. The last bus normally arrives at the Campus Center at approximately 8:24pm and it begins its route to the New Bedford Terminal.

  2. Download "BusWhere for UMassD" in your phone's app store.
  3. Login to the app using your UMassD email.

Campus Parking

UMass Dartmouth Parking Services & Permits handles parking permit assignment and enforcement. Designations are assigned based on permit type and are on a first come first serve basis.

Visit the one-stop flexible parking portal to view permit options, register guests, purchase your permit, pay parking tickets and view appeals.

Accessible Transportation

UMass Dartmouth provides transportation services to students with disabilities between on-campus locations via a wheelchair-capable van. To schedule: transportation@umassd.edu.
